About Steve

Steve Kimatian

Steve plays with two of his grandsons.

Steve’s expertise fits the position of auditor.  As the general manager of television stations and division head of broadcast groups, he has had the oversight of the finances and accounting for multi-million dollar operations for over twenty five years.  He has faced the challenges of restructuring organizations to meet changes in the economy.  He knows what it is like to make difficult decisions on the allocation of resources.  Two of the most pressing issues facing Syracuse City today, the most efficient use of tax dollars and the best way to structure departmental operations are the kind of issues that Steve has faced in the business world for many years.  He will bring this experience to the Office of City Auditor.

In addition, Steve is a lawyer and has been general counsel for broadcast groups and represents both individuals and corporations.  When so many of the city decisions concerning finances involve legal expertise, Steve will also bring this added benefit to Office of City Auditor.
